The National School Lunch Act requires school food authorities (SFAs) to purchase, to the maximum extent practicable, domestic commodities or products.
The SNAP Quality Control (QC) Review Schedule form (FNS 380-1) collects QC and household characteristics data. The information needed to complete this form is obtained from the SNAP case record and State agencies quality control findings. The information is used to monitor and reduce errors, develop policy strategies, and analyze household characteristic data. This notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection.
Section 4104 of the Farm Bill directs USDA to issue guidance to promote awareness of donations of apparently wholesome food by qualified direct donors protected under section 22(c) of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966. This guidance only applies to privately donated foods provided to TEFAP state agencies and eligible recipient agencies and is not applicable to USDA Foods provided through TEFAP.
