During an emergency situation such as the COVID-19 public health emergency, there are flexibilities available to TEFAP state agencies to assist them in continuing to provide food to people in need. Through TEFAP, USDA purchases a variety of nutritious, high-quality USDA Foods, and makes those foods available to state distributing agencies.
The purpose of this memorandum is to announce the implementation, effective Dec. 15, 2007, of the modifications to the TEFAP allocation formula that we proposed in the Federal Register notice published on Oct. 24, 2007.
