The Families First Coronavirus Response Act gave FNS the authority to issue waivers to states agencies in order to continue to serve WIC participants during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authority expired on Sept. 30, 2021; therefore, no new waivers are being issued. However, many waivers are still active until Dec. 31, 2021 or 90 days after the end of the nationally declared public health emergency.
