On Aug. 23, 2023 FNS published a final rule on program integrity to ensure that child nutrition programs are properly operated and managed to protect federal funds and taxpayer dollars.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally-funded program administered by states. State agencies are responsible for monitoring all institutions participating in CACFP to ensure compliance with meal pattern, recordkeeping, and other program requirements.
