Homemade Cranberry Sauce
A tangy and flavorful cranberry sauce that can be prepared in a flash.
Makes: 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 orange
- 3 cups fresh cranberries (12 ounces)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
Directions
- Peel orange, dice, and remove seeds.
- Place cranberries, orange, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer to dissolve the sugar.
- Lower heat and simmer until cranberries begin to burst. Mash cranberries slightly until desired consistency.
- Remove pot from heat and let cool then transfer to a bowl and chill.
Notes
- Frozen cranberries can be substituted for fresh.
- 1 cup white grape juice concentrate can be substituted for 1 cup sugar.
