Greek Salad
While feta cheese is the star of any Greek salad, this recipe contains all the must-have ingredients for a classic salad that is sure to please.
Makes: 6 servings
Ingredients
- 6 romaine lettuces leaves, chopped into bite size pieces (or more if desired)
- 1 medium cucumber, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, chopped (or cherry tomatoes)
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- ½ cup red onion, sliced
- ½ cup black olives, chopped (optional)
- ⅓ cup feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt, to taste
Directions
- Combine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, onion, olives (optional), and cheese in large serving bowl.
- To make the dressing: Whisk together oil, lemon juice, oregano, and salt in small bowl.
- Pour dressing over lettuce mixture; toss until coated. Serve immediately.
