Greek Salad

While feta cheese is the star of any Greek salad, this recipe contains all the must-have ingredients for a classic salad that is sure to please.

Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 6 romaine lettuces leaves, chopped into bite size pieces (or more if desired)
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (or cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup red onion, sliced
  • ½ cup black olives, chopped (optional)
  • ⅓ cup feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Combine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, onion, olives (optional), and cheese in large serving bowl.
  2. To make the dressing: Whisk together oil, lemon juice, oregano, and salt in small bowl.
  3. Pour dressing over lettuce mixture; toss until coated. Serve immediately.
