This study examined the feasibility of creating a data collection system capable of directly and automatically providing USDA with item-level data on purchases made by SNAP households. Data would be captured at the point of sale from purchases made using EBT cards.

This Request for Volunteers combines the need to conduct a pilot project with the extensive groundwork started by an FNS industry work group in 2010-2011, and invites retailers currently operating websites that sell SNAP-eligible foods and that meet the inventory requirements to be authorized as a SNAP retailer, to apply for participation in the projects. 

FNS proposes to make changes to the SNAP regulations pertaining to the eligibility of SNAP retail food stores.

SNAP Questions and Answers Concerning the Trafficking Controls and Fraud Investigations Final Rule

FNS is issuing this affirmation of a final rule, without change, of an interim rule that amended SNAP regulations, to require state agencies to monitor electronic benefit transfer card replacement requests and send notices to those clients who have requested four cards within a 12-month period.
