This webinar provides a general overview of the SNAP Longitudinal Data Project (SNAP-LDP). The SNAP LDP was set forth by the 2018 Farm Bill with the aim to facilitate longitudinal research on SNAP participation, including duration of participation over time and across states. The SNAP-LDP involves the joint effort of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, the U.S. Census Bureau, and state SNAP agencies who agree to securely send their data to the national data warehouse where it is de-identified and made available for approved SNAP LDP research. The webinar describes the overall project, how to join the project, how to obtain grant funding to support participation and a discussion of conducting research within the SNAP LDP.
