SNAP to Skills

SNAP to Skills (S2S) is a technical assistance project funded by FNS that is designed to provide states the tools and resources needed to build more effective and skills-based SNAP E&T programs. SNAP to Skills is managed by the SNAP Office of Employment and Training with support from Mathematica.

Through this project, about 40 states have received technical assistance to develop, improve, and expand their E&T programs. Examples include support identifying and selecting third-party partners, connecting workforce development best practices to SNAP E&T, and designing quality work-based learning programs.

The work of S2S includes:

  • Developing and offering learning opportunities for states and other SNAP E&T stakeholders.
  • Providing direct and intensive technical assistance to states to develop, improve and expand your SNAP E&T programs.
  • Developing a suite of tools and resources for all states to utilize to facilitate the development of your SNAP E&T programs.
