SNAP’s QC system uses a tolerance level to set the threshold for determining which errors are included in the national payment error rate calculation. For FY 2020, the tolerance threshold will remain at $37.

Form FNS-380 is a SNAP worksheet used to determine eligibility and benefits for households selected for review in the QC sample of active SNAP cases. This form provides a systematic means of aiding the State's Quality Control Reviewer in analyzing the case record, planning and doing field investigation and gathering, comparing, analyzing and evaluating data.  This notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection.

Resource Comment Request - SNAP Quality Control Review Schedule (FNS-380-1)

The SNAP  Quality Control (QC) Review Schedule form (FNS 380-1) collects QC and household characteristics data. The information needed to complete this form is obtained from the SNAP case record and State agencies quality control findings. The information is used to monitor and reduce errors, develop policy strategies, and analyze household characteristic data. This notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection.

Kids eat more fruits and vegetables, when more fruits and vegetables are offered. A recent Harvard study reported that, under the updated standards for school meals, kids are now eating 16 percent more vegetables and 23 percent more fruit at lunch. Schools are an important player in overall national efforts to reduce the amount of salt that people eat. As such, schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs will continue to reduce the amount of salt in meals by choosing lower sodium versions of foods and flavoring foods with spices and herbs.
