This memorandum is intended to address the impact of State laws that permit same sex marriages on Food Stamp Program eligibility requirements.
This memorandum addresses questions have been raised by WIC state agencies regarding the eligibility determinations for individuals from military families which include military service personnel serving overseas or assigned to a military base and temporarily absent from the home.
In response to recent inquiries, we are issuing the following guidance on using IRS Form 1040 to verify a provider’s household income when he/she attempts to qualify for tier I status on the basis of household income.
