FNS has a long history of helping to end hunger, reduce diet-related diseases, and accelerate health equity. This report explains who we are, who we serve and highlights key work underway.
This report summarizes how the USDA is leveraging its existing authorities, resources and touchpoints to support nutrition security with a primary focus on activities from the FNCS mission area. We look forward to working with stakeholders to achieve this vision through improving diet quality, strengthening the public health impacts of the federal nutrition assistance programs and advancing racial equity.
The purpose of this Toolkit is to provide state agencies with guidance and resources to plan and implement Employment and Training (E&T) Programs under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly called the Food Stamp Program).
