This memo provides State agencies with guidance on allowable use of advanced automation technologies. 

USDA FNS, Tribes, and SNAP state agencies share goals to improve nutrition and health for American Indians/Alaskan Natives (AI/AN) through nutrition assistance and nutrition education.

This memorandum provides information to assist WIC state agencies in ensuring WIC supplemental foods on the state approved product list meet the minimum federal nutrition requirements and specifications.

The guidance document provides policy guidance for states regarding the operation of the SNAP Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Grant Program, referred to as SNAP-Ed.

The purpose of this memorandum is to advise you of Food and Nutrition Service’s decision to offer state agencies the opportunity to participate in a demonstration project to exclude earned income from temporary employment in the 2020 Census.

This memorandum outlines the approach FNS will begin to take to work with state agencies as they request approval for new demonstration projects or renewal of existing projects, to ensure all active demonstration projects are testing innovative approaches with appropriate evaluations. 

FNS invites state agencies that administer the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program to apply to participate in demonstration projects that will evaluate the effectiveness of conducting direct certification with the Medicaid program.

Attached are questions and answers in response to common issues raised by states regarding the Census 2010 Demonstration Projects.

The purpose of this demonstration project is to support the Census Bureau in recruitment and to assist SNAP clients in obtaining valuable work experience that may help lead to greater self-sufficiency.
