Resource | Federal Register Documents Comment Request: SNAP Reporting of Lottery and Gambling, and Resource Verification

Households in which members receive substantial lottery and gambling winnings are ineligible for SNAP until they meet allowable financial resources and income eligibility requirements. States are also required to work cooperatively with entities responsible for gaming in their state to identify individuals and households with substantial winnings. SNAP households must report substantial winnings to state SNAP agencies.

This is an extension, without change, of a currently approved collection. USDA requires that state agencies report outcome data for the SNAP E&T programs. In order for FNS to monitor the effectiveness of E&T programs state agencies are required to report outcome data on five separate reporting measures.

Resource | Federal Register Documents Comment Request - SNAP Quality Control Review Schedule (FNS-380-1)

The FNS-380-1, Quality Control Review Schedule, was developed by FNS for state use to collect both QC data and case characteristics for SNAP and to serve as the comprehensive data entry form for SNAP QC reviews. State agencies are required to perform QC reviews for SNAP. The information needed to complete this form is obtained from the SNAP case record through state agency quality control findings. The information is used to monitor and reduce errors, develop policy strategies, and analyze household characteristic data.
