The purpose of this memorandum is to provide funding allocation amounts for all state agencies for fiscal year 2019, to provide information on funding requirements and deadlines and to serve as a reminder of important program requirements.
This memorandum revises the current USDA Food and Nutrition Service process for state agencies and eligible service providers seeking a waiver of statutory or regulatory program requirements for the child nutrition programs, including the CACFP, the SFSP, the NSLP, the FFVP, the SMP, and the SBP.
In response to several inquiries, this memorandum provides guidance on the allowable consumption of FFVP fruits and vegetables by teachers.
