This manual contains important information for persons in FNS headquarters, FNS regional offices, and distributing agencies, which include state distributing agencies and Indian Tribal Organizations that are charged with the responsibility of providing USDA Foods to disaster relief organizations in the event of a disaster, emergency, or situation of distress.
The National CSFP Association (NCSFPA) holds an annual conference where state and local agencies meet to discuss issues related to CSFP. During the conference, FNS updates program operators and stakeholders about program changes and initiatives, provides training to state and local program operators, builds partnerships, and obtains feedback on program-related issues.
The WIC Vendor Management and Food Delivery Handbook was developed by FNS to serve as a resource manual for state and federal staff who operate and oversee the WIC Program. The handbook is a comprehensive summary of regulations, policy, and guidance related to WIC Vendor Management and Food Delivery. It does not replace or supersede federal regulations or policies that govern the WIC Program.
Training is required so that individuals involved in all levels of administration of programs that receive federal financial assistance understand federal laws, regulations, instructions, policies and other guidance.
