This is a revision of a currently approved information collection for Pandemic EBT (P–EBT) for the reporting burden associated with administering P–EBT. Following federal requirements, state agencies are responsible for determining the eligibility of SNAP households and issuing benefits to those households entitled to benefits under the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, as amended. Demographics must be collected from households to ensure that they are eligible for the program and that they receive the correct amount of SNAP benefits.
FNS will collect information to estimate funding needs and also provide data on the number of applications processed, number of fair hearings, and fraud control activity. FNS uses the data to estimate funding needs and to monitor state agency activity levels and performance.
