Resource | Notices Food Distribution Program: Value of Donated Foods (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021)

This notice announces the national average value of donated foods or, where applicable, cash in lieu of donated foods, to be provided in school year 2021 (July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021) for each lunch served by schools participating in the National School Lunch Program, and for each lunch and supper served by institutions participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Resource | Final Rule FDPIR: Two-Year Administrative Funding Availability and Substantial Burden Waiver Signatory Requirement

FNS is codifying a revised statutory requirement included in the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018. The 2018 Farm Bill at section 4003 requires FDPIR administrative funds to remain available for obligation at the Indian Tribal Organization (ITO) and state agency level for a period of two federal fiscal years. This provision was self-executing and went into effect upon enactment of the 2018 Farm Bill in federal fiscal year 2019.

This notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This collection is a new collection for (1) describing states' approaches to SNAP E&T case management, (2) providing a comprehensive picture of states' approaches to SNAP E&T participant assessment, (3) documenting states' approaches to offering participant reimbursements and other supports, and (4) describing states' responses to the new case management requirement.

This is an existing collection in use without an OMB Control Number in which we are seeking approval to establish a process for SNAP  retailers to request a waiver from the FNS to offer SNAP recipients incentives that encourage them to purchase healthier foods.
