In January 2021, President Biden released the National Strategy for the COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness. The plan is driven by science, data, and public health to improve the effectiveness of our nation’s fight against COVID-19 and to restore trust, accountability and a sense of common purpose in our response to the pandemic.

FNS is working rapidly to expand capacity in the SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot — having grown the program exponentially over the past few months. And now the agency is investing in the future of online ordering in WIC, as well.

USDA Awards Tufts $8.5M to Foster Telehealth Tech for WIC Moms
Technological advances are streamlining industries across the globe. To make use of these innovations for program participants, USDA today announced the award of an $8.5 million cooperative agreement with Tufts University to test and evaluate the use of telehealth innovations in delivery of USDA’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.
