Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 90 calendar days after the state has started their plan (Dec. 1, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 90 days of date of theft. Submit claims by mail or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 business days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 business days after claim approval. You must replace your card.

Submit claims by mail, fax, voice mailbox, online, or at the local office. The state has 30 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits are issued within 5 business days after receipt of signed claim and within 1 business day after approval date. You must re-PIN your card.
