Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 12 months after the state has started their plan (July 3, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days of discovering theft. Submit claims by mail, online, phone, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after the claim approval date. You must replace your card.

Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit claim form within 10 business days after report. Report theft by phone. Submit claims by mail, in-person at local offices, or drop box. The state has 15 calendar days to validate the claim.
