Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 30 calendar days after the state's public announcement (Sept. 1, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a claim form within 10 business days after report. Report theft by phone. Submit claims by mail, fax, or in-person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued immediately upon claim approval. You must replace your card.
