Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 90 calendar days after the state has started their plan (May 31, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit a regular claim form. Make reports and submit claims by mail or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued no later than the day after claim approval. You must replace your card.
