Replacement of Stolen Benefits

Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

Households have 30 business days after the state has started their plan (Sept. 1, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 business days of discovering and submit claim form within 10 more business days. Report theft by phone, mail, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 business days, and 10 additional days if more information is needed, to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 business days after date of claim submission (and an additional 10 business days if more information is needed). You must replace your card.
