Getting to Know USDA' Web-Based Prototype Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals: On Dec. 15, 2016, FNS hosted an informational webinar for public stakeholders to introduce its new web-based prototype application. This session provided an overview of the web-based prototype application’s research-backed, integrity-oriented design features and included a Q&A session open to all attendees. Web-Based School Meal Applications: Guidance for Incorporating Integrity-Oriented Design Features: On May 26, 2017, FNS hosted a webinar session detailing guidance and best practices for incorporating integrity-oriented design features into web-based school meal applications. As States, school districts, and software vendors continue to incorporate updates to existing and upcoming applications and products, this session is intended to highlight and emphasize the importance of the specific design elements anchoring USDA’s recently published Web-Based Prototype Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals. This recording is highly recommended for State and SFA staff interested in developing web-based school meal applications, or in acquiring them through a vended arrangement. Similarly, software vendors of web-based school meal applications are also encouraged to review its content.
