On Sept. 29, 2025, we awarded approximately $5 million in SNAP Fraud Framework grants to fund innovative state projects designed to reduce SNAP recipient fraud and enhance program integrity using the procedures, ideas, and practices outlined in the SNAP Fraud Framework.
This is a revision of a currently approved collection. This information collection is associated with state agencies' notification and data collection activities associated with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program review of major changes in program design at the state level.
We are requesting states agencies provide notification of intent to close their FY 2025 SNAP-Ed grant and return unexpended grant funding. State agencies who do not wish to terminate their remaining FY 2025 SNAP-Ed funds must submit a state plan by Aug. 15, 2025, or no later than Aug. 31, 2025, if an extension is requested and approved. This should include an intent to expend funds by Sept. 30, 2026.

The Statewide Thrifty Food Plan Cost Estimate for Hawaii report describes the process used to calculate a new Thrifty Food Plan cost estimate for Hawaii that is based on the best currently available food price data from throughout the state of Hawaii in alignment with the proposed rule. This report uses the same peer-reviewed methodology as the Thrifty Food Plan Cost Estimates for Alaska and Hawaii report, published by FNS in 2023.
