This notice announces the surplus and purchased foods that USDA expects to make available for donation to states for use in providing nutrition assistance to the needy under TEFAP in FY 2016. The foods made available under this notice must, at the discretion of the state, be distributed to eligible recipient agencies for use in preparing meals and/or for distribution to households for home consumption.
The goal of the prize competition is to produce an open source electronic school meal application that states and school districts can adapt for their own use. The USDA announces adjusted income eligibility guidelines to be used by state agencies in determining the income eligibility of persons applying to participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children Program. These income eligibility guidelines are to be used in conjunction with the WIC Regulations.
