Summary of Nutrition Assistance Program – American Samoa (NAP)
To help those most in need receive healthy, fresh foods, USDA will be offering boxes of pre-packed, mixed fresh produce though The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), in addition to the single varieties that are already available to order.
The FMNP is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, generally known as WIC. The WIC program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education; including, breastfeeding promotion and support at no cost to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of age, who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Summary of Nutrition Assistance Program - Puerto Rico
During the second year of Farm to Food Bank Project funding, FNS allocated $3.764 million to 24 TEFAP state agencies that submitted plans to implement Farm to Food Bank Projects. Seventeen of those states received FY 2020 funding and seven are newly participating states. The 24 state agencies that received an award are identified in this resource.
