Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- On Jan. 19, 2024, FNS approved the Wisconsin Department of Health Services request to waive the 10-day reporting requirement for replacement of food purchased with SNAP benefits that were lost as a result of prolonged power outages due to winter storms that began on Jan. 12, 2024. The waiver applies to residents of Green Lake, Jefferson, Kenosha, Marquette, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Washington, Waukesha, and Waushara counties and will be in effect through Feb. 12, 2024.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- On Aug. 20, 2021, FNS approved the Wisconsin Department of Health Services request to waive timely reporting of food loss for households in Brown, Columbia, Grant, Iowa, Milwaukee, Monroe, Outagamie, Rock, Sauk, Walworth, Waukesha, and Waushara counties. This waiver approval allows impacted households to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits that were lost as a result of power outages, severe storms, and tornados that began on Aug. 7, 2021. The waiver will be in effect through Aug. 31, 2021.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- On Aug. 1, 2019, FNS approved Wisconsin’s amended request to waive the 10-day reporting requirement for food loss to include residents of Manitowoc and Vernon counties in addition to the original request. This waiver approval allows households to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through Aug. 19, 2019. These replacement SNAP benefits allows households to replace food destroyed due to power outages caused by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on July 18, 2019.
- On July 26, 2019, FNS approved Wisconsin’s request to waive timely reporting of food loss for households in following impacted areas: The Bay Lake Consortium counties: Brown, Door, Marinette, Oconto, and Shawano; Central Consortium counties: Langlade, Marathon, Oneida, and Portage; East Central Consortium counties: Calumet, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Marquette, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara, and Winnebago; Great Rivers Consortium counties: Barron, Burnett, Chippewa, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix, and Washburn; Northern Consortium counties: Ashland, Bayfield, Florence, Forest, Iron, Lincoln, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, Vilas, and Wood; and Western Consortium counties: Buffalo, Clark, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Pepin and Trempealeau. In addition, the waiver applies to the following tribes: The Bad River (Ojibwa Nation), Lac Courte Oreilles, Menominee, and Oneida.
This waiver approval will allow households in these impacted areas to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through Aug. 19, 2019. These replacement SNAP benefits will allow households to replace food lost due to power outages caused by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on July 18, 2019.

- On August 30, FNS approved the Wisconsin request for timely household reporting of food loss for the counties of Adams, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Jefferson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Ozaukee, Sauk, Vernon, and Washington. This waiver approval will allow households to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through Oct. 1, 2018.
- On August 28, FNS approved the Wisconsin request for timely household reporting of food loss for the counties of Dane, Green, Iowa and Rock. This waiver approval will allow households to make a request for replacement of SNAP benefits through Sept. 19, 2018.
