Introduction
The SUN programs communications toolkit contains materials for use by agencies administering SUN Meals, SUN Meals To-Go, and/or SUN Bucks. This includes print-ready PDFs for professional or desktop printing as well as customizable PowerPoint (PPT) files. Please review the printing and customization instructions and tips below.

Print Instructions
Professional Printing PDFs
- Download professional print pdf.
- Request “four-color process printing” or “digital printing.”
- Provide file to professional printer.
Desktop Printing PDFs: Flyer, Posters, and Window Clings/Stickers
- Click PDF link and save file.
- Open PDF in Adobe Acrobat. Click File, then click Print.
- Paper Sizing & Handling, choose fit.
- Choose paper source by PDF page size.
- Click OK to print.
- Save.
Desktop Printing PDFs: Rack Card
- Click PDF link and save file.
- Open PDF in Adobe Acrobat and Enable all Features.
- To print the rack cards double-sided, click Organize Pages on tool bar.
- Right click on each page, copy, and paste. This will create two copies of each page.
- Click File, then click Print. At print menu, Page Sizing & Handling, choose Multiple.
- Choose 2 pages per sheet; choose the Vertical Page order.
- Print on both sides of paper. Flip on long edge.
- Choose the Portrait Orientation.
- Click OK to print.
- Save.
Customization
The communications toolkit includes customizable PowerPoint (PPT) files.
To start, download the PPT file. Save and reopen.
How to Customize Logos or Text
Follow these steps to customize the SUN Meals, SUN Meals To-Go, and SUN Bucks logos.
- To change a program logo, right click on the logo you’d like to change.
- Once the dropdown menu loads, navigate to Change Picture.
- Choose option (From a File or This Device... Left click the logo image from your files).
- Left click Insert to confirm the image swap. Save file.
- To edit text:
- Left click on the text box that you’d like to edit.
- Input or revise the information.
- Once completed, save.
Tips
When customizing PowerPoint (PPT) files, we recommend using toggling guidelines. This will help you visibly see where the safe zones are for customizing content/logos. To turn on toggling guidelines:
- Right click anywhere on the asset. Do not click on area that is editable.
- Navigate the cursor to Grid and Guides
- Left click on Display grid on screen.
To resize your file, go to the design menu and choose slide styles on the right.
- On a PC: Click Custom Size, enter in your specific dimensions, and click OK.
- On a Mac: Click on Page Set Up. Choose slide sized for Custom in the drop-down menu and then enter in your width and length. Click OK.
When customizing rack cards, you can duplicate the slides for printing in PowerPoint before saving as a PDF.
Print Customized Resources: Desktop or Professional Printing
- Click File.
- Click Export or Create Adobe PDF. If prompted, save the file.
- The file can be sent to a professional printer, or follow the print instructions for desktop printing.
