Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.

Households have 60 calendar days after the state has started their plan (July 3, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Report theft within 30 calendar days of discovering and submit claim form within 10 more calendar days. Report theft by phone, mail, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 business days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 business days after the date of claim submission. You must replace your card.

The state will mail a claim form within 10 calendar days and you have 30 calendar days to return the form. Report theft by phone, mail, email, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, fax, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 30 calendar days to validate the claim.
