Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 60 calendar days after the state has started their plan (Aug. 23, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days after discovering theft. Submit claims by phone, mail, or in-person at local offices. The state has 14 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 14 calendar days of claim approval. You must re-PIN your card.
