Replacement of Stolen Benefits
Statutory authority to replace stolen benefits expired on Dec. 20, 2024, thus SNAP benefits stolen on or after Dec. 21, 2024, are not eligible for replacement using federal funds.
Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.
Households have 30 calendar days after the state has started their plan (Oct. 18, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days of discovering theft. Report theft by email, mail, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, email, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued immediately upon claim approval. You must replace your card.

Submit claims by mail, phone, email, drop-box, or in-person at local offices. The state has 10 calendar days to validate the claim.
Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are issued within 10 calendar days after date of claim submission. You must replace your card.
