Our Initiatives- Meeting Today's Families Where They Are

USDA sees a future where families can choose how to interact with WIC in ways that work best for them—virtually or in person—using their cell phones (or whatever technology they have!) to conveniently share information with WIC, schedule and confirm appointments, and text with WIC staff about both administrative issues and to ask nutrition and feeding related questions of WIC experts.

In a modern WIC program, all families will benefit from streamlined applications, the option to use accessible virtual and in person services, improved shopping experiences both in store and online, expanded access to farmers markets, culturally tailored nutrition and breastfeeding services, and more!
