FY 2026 SNAP Process and Technology Improvement Grants

Process and Technology Improvement Grants (PTIGs) support efforts by state agencies and their community-based and faith-based partners to develop and implement projects that use technology to improve the quality and efficiency of SNAP application and eligibility determination systems. 

USDA SNAP Program Integrity Data Team: Preliminary Report

Secretary Brooke L. Rollins directed states to share their SNAP eligibility data with USDA, launching a historic and collaborative effort to root out fraud, waste, and abuse. The Department established the first ever SNAP Program Integrity Data Team to analyze the data provided by states and compare it to readily available federal databases. This report provides an overview of the team’s methodologies and findings.

USDA Implements President Trump’s Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins today announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a final rule implementing the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, restoring whole and reduced-fat (2%) milk options in federal child nutrition programs for children and adults ages 2 and older.

Reorganization

As part of the USDA reorganization plan, The Food and Nutrition Administration, formerly the Food and Nutrition Service, will refocus its 16 nutrition assistance programs.

USDA Requires SNAP Authorized Retailers to Carry More Real Food

Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture published the final rule regarding stocking standards for retailers participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, ensuring a broader variety of nutritious food is available to SNAP participants at authorized retailers across the country.
