No child should go hungry because they lose school meals during the summer, and state agencies have a crucial role to play in closing the summer hunger gap. The new SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) program will supplement the meals and snacks kids receive at summer sites and provide a lifeline to families who haven't been reached through the traditional site-based model.
FNS, states, tribes, and partners all need to work together to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Summer EBT to give families the support they need. We are committed to supporting states with resources, technical assistance, and more as you rollout SUN Bucks.
