USDA’s goal across all summer nutrition programs is simple: Connect children with nutritious food during the summer months to help them grow and thrive. The interim final rule published this week is an important step forward in increasing access to these services

Team Nutrition has a variety of posters for schools, summer sites, and child care (centers, homes, and sponsors). When available, child nutrition program operators may request printed copies, while supplies last.

FNS partnered with the Michigan State agency and Code For America to provide an update on Summer EBT as part of the USDA Child Nutrition State Agency Meeting. The presentation provided an overview of available guidance and resources and facilitated a panel discussion about implementation challenges and solutions.

This document describes the methods by which Summer EBT agencies conduct verification for Summer EBT applications.

Through this rulemaking, FNS aims to improve the quality of race and ethnicity data collected and to ensure program benefits are distributed without regard to race, color, or national origin.

The USDA proposed to make changes to the SNAP's Quality Control system to strengthen and improve the integrity and accuracy of the system and to better align SNAP QC with requirements in the Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019. When published, the proposed rule included an incorrect email address for comments; the reopening of the comment period is intended to allow additional time for the public to submit comments.
