In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection.
FNS is allowing WIC agencies to waive conducting compliance investigations of a minimum of five percent of the number of vendors authorized.
FNS is allowing state agencies to postpone some vendor reauthorization actions by extending expiring vendor agreements by one year.
FNS is removing the requirement for onsite preauthorization visits and allowing these visits to be done onsite after the public health emergency and applicable state and local social distancing orders are lifted.
FNS is waiving minimum requirement for routine vendor monitoring requirements.
In FY 2022, FNS is planning to replace The Integrity Profile with the new Food Delivery Portal as the system WIC state agencies use to report vendor management activities. This memorandum provides WIC state agencies information necessary to assess the resource levels needed to successfully transition to reporting required data in FDP and seeks state agency feedback on any anticipated funding needs.
The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the federal regulatory requirements related to the disclosure of confidential WIC vendor and participant information.
WIC is issuing this Request for Information to obtain input from WIC state agencies, authorized vendors, food manufacturers, technology partners, and other interested stakeholders regarding the direction of the National Universal Product Code (NUPC) database.
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide state agencies operating the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children with information regarding compliance with split tender transactions.
This policy memorandum is being issued in response to the fiscal year 2013 audit by USDA’s Office of Inspector General, state agencies’ Food Costs for the FNS WIC Program.
