Please Note
As of April 2024, this resource was slightly revised to reflect current CACFP policy related to breastmilk storage guidelines. More information about this policy can be found at Feeding Infants and Meal Pattern Requirements in the Child and Adult Care Food Program; Q&As (Revised September 2023).
The Mother’s Guide shares information on where and how mothers can find support when getting ready to breastfeed, as well as after the baby arrives. A sample handout that families can use to share information with their child care provider about their baby’s usual eating habits is also included within the guide.
