Secretary Rollins Announces Reinvigorated Farm to School Grants Supporting American Farmers and Children

USDA is delivering on its commitment to support child health and American agriculture by opening applications for the fiscal year 2026 Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grants. Through this grant opportunity, USDA will invest up to $18 million in farm to school projects that connect farmers to USDA’s child nutrition programs through local food procurement, agricultural education, school gardens, and more.

Secretary Rollins Announces Local Food Purchases for Communities in Need

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins today announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s intent to purchase up to $230 million in fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables from American farmers and producers to distribute to food banks and nutrition assistance programs across the country.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins today joined President Donald J. Trump in releasing the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission Report at the White House. The report is a call to evaluate the many reasons American families, particularly children, face high rates of chronic health issues, and it encourages additional research and education on diet, environmental exposures, lack of physical activity, and overmedicalization.
