On Dec. 29, 2023, FNS published the Interim Final Rule (IFR) entitled “Establishing the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer Program and Rural Non-Congregate Option in the Summer Meal Programs.” Each state and Tribe administering the Summer EBT program in 2025 must submit the final Plan for Operations and Management (POM) to their respective FNS regional office by Feb. 15, 2025.
