| SUBJECT: | Updates to the FNS Handbook 310, SNAP Quality Control (QC) Review Handbook |

This memo transmits technical updates to appendices B through D of the FNS 310 Handbook currently issued through QC Policy Memo 22-02. This update ensures the forms and form instructions for the FNS 380, Worksheet for QC reviews 1 and 380-1, QC Review Schedule 2 , which were approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) are an exact replica of those in appendices B and C respectively. This is a technical correction and does not contain any coding or instruction updates nor does it require any updates to FNS’ automated quality control system (QCS), SNAP-QCS.
This memo also updates, in appendix D, FNS Form 245, The SNAP QC Negative Case Review Schedule 3 , which was recently renewed by OMB. The renewal introduces new options for reasons a household’s negative action occurred. The new coding options are effective immediately and have been updated in SNAP-QCS.
The enclosed page change updates to the Handbook 310 include:
- A revised table of contents streamlining Appendices A-E.
- Replacement pages for the cover and end pages, as well as Appendices A-D to ensure the QC forms in the FNS 310 are an exact replica of those approved by OMB. Please note a possible formatting change may show the coding options extending onto a following page and the only reason appendix A is included is due to its location next to appendix B on the printed version of the handbook.
The page control chart below is for replacing pages in paper copies of the Handbook 310.
