In the event of a lapse in funding due the expiration of the current continuing resolution on March 15, 2025, state agencies should continue to administer the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in accordance with federal statutes and regulations, following normal processes and timelines to send issuance files and to issue benefits through the end of April 2025.
Furthermore, FNS has taken action to fund SNAP administrative expenses through the end of April 2025 and to fund the Nutrition Assistance Program grants in Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands through the end of April 2025.
SNAP is funded by the generosity of the American taxpayers, and we appreciate your continued partnership to better serve individuals who need additional support. State agencies with questions should contact their FNS regional office representative.
