This guidance updates previously issued Questions and Answers to clarify Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) requirements, as found in 7 CFR Part 225, FNS Instruction 796-4, and other official federal program guidance. It supersedes SFSP 05-2017, Summer Food Service Program Questions and Answers, (Sept. 28, 2023).
State agencies are reminded to distribute this information to program operators immediately. Program operators should direct any questions regarding this memorandum to the appropriate state agency.
