On Nov. 19, 2009, the Program Development Division issued guidance on how to implement Section 8 of that act requiring state agencies to exclude the $25 a week increased unemployment compensation payments from all calculation of resources and income.
This TEFAP program guidance memorandum clarifies FNS regulations and policies regarding the allowability of requiring payment and soliciting contributions (i.e., "payments" or "pay") in exchange for foods from FNS program participants.
Per CSFP regulations, participants are prohibited from receiving CSFP benefits and WIC benefits at the same time.
