On Aug.16, 2023, FNS announced the award of $9.4 million in federal funding for the FY 2023 Team Nutrition Grant for Supporting Nutrition Education for School-Aged Children.
As part of the WIC innovation and modernization efforts to be funded under ARPA, FNS is supporting planning and implementation projects focused on enhancements that improve the WIC participant experience, as evidenced by enhancing the WIC shopping experience, increasing participant enrollment, reducing unnecessary administrative burden for both participants and administrators, including through data matching to streamline enrollment, and retaining eligible participants while improving equity

On Aug. 4, 2021, USDA awarded approximately $3.6 million in Data and Technical Assistance grants to five states. These grants are intended to support the full range of needs state agencies may have related to the development, collection, reporting, analysis and use of SNAP E&T participant outcome data.
During the second year of Farm to Food Bank Project funding, FNS allocated $3.764 million to 24 TEFAP state agencies that submitted plans to implement Farm to Food Bank Projects. Seventeen of those states received FY 2020 funding and seven are newly participating states. The 24 state agencies that received an award are identified in this resource.
In September 2020, USDA awarded approximately $3.2 million in Data and Technical Assistance (DATA) grants to five states. These grants are intended to support the full range of needs state agencies may have related to the development, collection, reporting, analysis and use of SNAP E&T participant outcome data. Among other things, funds can be used for training and capacity building, including efforts to improve E&T data quality; information technology systems development to support the collection, reporting, and analysis of SNAP E&T data; and/or continuous program improvement of SNAP E&T programs.
