Willie C. Taylor serves as Deputy Administrator of State Support and Evaluation at USDA’s Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA). He provides strategic leadership and broad oversight over FNA’s five hubs, Tribal affairs, the Office of Emergency Management, and the State Systems Office, ensuring the effective delivery of 16 federal nutrition assistance programs that serve 1 in 4 Americans.

Prior to this role, Taylor served as FNA’s Associate Administrator for Regional Operations and Support, directing seven regional offices, safeguarding billions of dollars in program funding, and building relationships with states and other essential partners.

Taylor’s career is marked by a wide range of leadership roles across federal and local government. Highlights include serving as regional director for the Department of Labor’s Office of Job Corps; Deputy Regional Administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Atlanta region; and Regional Director for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration’s Philadelphia Regional Office. Locally, he has held executive roles in community services, public services, housing, planning, and more.

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida A&M University and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Clemson University. He was previously awarded the prestigious U.S. Department of Commerce’s Silver Medal for Leadership for his pivotal role in managing disaster recovery efforts in Florida.
