FNS plans to collect periodic data to obtain information on operational challenges facing institutions who operate or administer child nutrition programs, including state agencies, SFAs and Summer Food Service Program sponsors. On Oct. 1, 2021, the requirement to credit grains served in the CACFP in "ounce equivalents" was implemented. This document corrects the final regulations to align meal pattern tables and corresponding endnotes with regulatory requirements.
This collection is a reinstatement, with change, of a previously approved collection for which approval has expired. FNS uses this collection to obtain account and record information from state and service institutions that is necessary to effectively manage the CACFP and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory Program requirements.
