Today U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Acting Deputy Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services John Walk engaged in formal consultation with Tribal Nations on the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations.  The consultation continues USDA’s practice of regular government-to-government dialogue on this important nutrition program.

Brooke Rollins was sworn in as the 33rd U.S. Secretary of Agriculture by Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Clarence Thomas in a private ceremony today at the Supreme Court building. The U.S. Senate confirmed Rollins by a vote of 72-to-28.
